I've owned these boots since last spring but after the past 3 weekend I had to write a review. I ordered them originally for a Anime Cosplay - which they were fine for, but the use was indoors. However I work at a Ren Fair in October and this year all we had was RAIN. I'd already had 3 different boots/shoes at the fair site, when I remember these boots. I had no idea how good they would be for the situation but I was running out of options as the other ones just weren't cutting it. For the past 3 weekends I have worn them all day long in mud and wet and often standing water. My feet were comfortable the whole time and only by then end of the day did my feet start to even get a little damp. I had done nothing to them to seal them or anything this was straight out of the box. I'm really happy about the purchase. Now trying to find something similar for my husband.

The actual soles of these boots are very comfortable. They're very flexible, and the bottom is rubberized, so walking on slick surfaces isn't an issue. They seem to run true to size, I wear a size 6.5, ordered a 7 (normally I wear thick socks with boots) and as expected, they're a tad big. So order true to size, they don't seem to run small.

The quality of the boot is good, you can fold over the top flap, scrunch them down, or wear them straight up if you like.

My ONLY issue with these boots is that they're very, VERY generously cut in the shaft part. So if you're slender, these WILL be baggy on your calves. For me, it's not too much of a problem since I'll be wearing them cuffed and scrunched down for Renn Faire, but I would have preferred a more fitted boot shaft. But for the ladies who have muscular calves or curvier figures, I think you'll be very pleased. (and have no doubt that you'll rock these boots!)

All in all, very nice, comfortable boots, decent quality for the price.

I bought these boots for a Halloween costume of mine. I'm 5'6 and I normally wear a 7.5. I ordered these in an 8 and it worked out great. These boots come up very high on me: halfway up my thigh, which is what I was aiming for.

As others have noted, these boots are very tight/small around the legs. I workout and stay pretty fit and these boots were hard to zip up until I got to the knee. They look great though, just be aware they can be difficult to put on.

The boots are just as advertised in the product description. As one reviewer mentioned, they are very tight, and you must have pretty slim legs to zip them all the way up. Even thigh muscles that come from exercise make these a bit of a tight squeeze. Remember, too, that if you're short, the boots will come up higher than they do on the model in the picture - above mid-thigh. One other comment - Since these boots are made of man-made materials, they are quite toasty inside. Your legs will sweat. Plan to wear them when it will be cold outside! Other than that, they do look just as advertised. We'll see what the reaction is when I wear them for the first time next week!

I got them in red. Very much a super-hero boot. The zipper is unobtrusive. The boots run true to size. I have a really narrow heel and still had no problem. Definitely prefer the Ellie brand to others like this. The chunky heel makes this a versatile boot, easy to comfortably walk in without fear of tottering due to the height.

I've bought a pair of these boots and they are very nice and comfortable. I do recommend buying an insole to make them even more comfortable since they have such a big heel. And I highly recommend that if you have lean thighs to wear these with a garter to keep them as thigh-high as possible.

In fact I tend to wear these with a matching latex garter which can be polished to match the shiny black PVC. The zipper is very unobtrusive and just makes the very shiny PVC stand out.

I highly recommend these boots for those who enjoy no-frills boots which accentuate one's legs in shiny black PVC.

I love these boots. The are so comfortable for this style of shoe, and they're perfect for the purpose I ordered them for. I got them for an X-Man Rouge costume that I'm putting together and they are perfect for it. The only thing to be aware of is that it's very easy to scuff them with the black sole from the other shoe. I wore them for an hour and ended up with black marks over the tops -- just a note of caution about that.

Comfortable shows-I had to go a size up since there were no half sizes. The black bottom shows up on the white patent leather if you barely rub against the white. The black can also scuff wood floors. This was a halloween costume item so these things really didn't bother me too much. The boots run small - I normally wear a 9 or 9.5, and the size 9 boots were so small that I could hardly get my feet in. I honestly have no idea how the larger size fits, as I the replacement pair didn't arrive on time (I was going to take these with me to wear at an event, paid for overnight shipping and the boots took two days to arrive, so I missed them). Of course I haven't been home to pick up the package at the post office, so I they got sent back.

If you're going to order these, make sure you have at least a month's worth of time to play with! I was working with a few weeks and in the end, I never got to enjoy my boots anyway. :(

I love these shoes a great bargain at this price. This is my first pair of Pleaser shoes and after reading reviews on these shoes I ordered the size I would normally order for a shoe in this price category. They fit perfectly and feel so good on my feet. I think I could stand in them all day long. Walking in them is well like walking in a shoe with a 5" heel, they are comfortable but I will not run any races in them. I will be buying more shoes by Pleaser.

I ordered this one in the black velvet...beautiful, and packaged in nice protective fabric sleeves. The velvet is actually fairly plush, and I can imagine it would be easily scuffed up after a few wearings. The construction is typical Pleaser...good enough for play, or occasional evenings out in dimly lit clubs, and at this price, thats all you should expect. In larger sizes, it actually seemed to run a half-size bigger than expected...sizing can be a bit iffy with this class of footwear, so be forewarned. Overall, its a great value.

I love Pleaser, but I'm thinking that I will stick to the open toe shoes. This one is a little snug on my foot. I wear either a 8 1/2 or a 9 depending on the shoe and this one is very snug. It will be sitting in the closet with a shoe stretcher for a while! Everything else about the shoe is almost perfect. The velvet is soft and rich. The heel is sturdy and well built. My only complaint is that the 9 fits like a snug 8 1/2. If you can get the right fit...this is a great shoe!

The fit was just right so I was very happy. I bought these in baby pink patent and I love the color. I will order these in other colors in the future.

As an Amazon Prime member I ordered these shoes at 2 on Thursday afternoon and received them by 9:30 AM on Friday using the overnight option. They arrived in perfect shape as they were packaged very well. If you are a regular shopper at Amazon I would suggest joining Amazon Prime.

Looking for a pair of devilishly sexy heels on the cheap? Here they are! According to my wife, they are very comfortable for a man-made material shoe. The look is ultra-classic and would go well with any outfit, without making you look like a stripper (though, if that's what you're going for, you won't be too disappointed, either).

The black sole might not work so well with some of the colors (blue, silver, gold, white), but that's really down to personal preference. Just be sure to keep them polished.

First pair of five-inchers? Not a bad place to start. They require practice, though, and should NOT be worn every day, unless you have feet of iron. These are for special occasions/the bedroom only.

These are my "around the house" shoes, and they perform admirably.

I could do with a little wider size, and I advise ordering a size larger than usual, but other than that (and with a little breaking in...) these are fun and sexy shoes to wear for a while.

These are great boots. The opening is a little wide at the top when i tried them on but it wasnt too bad. They make your knees look huge if the fabric isnt just right. They also make your legs look bigger because of all the extra fabric. They're good tho because u could wear them high up on your leg or scrunch them down to just above the knee (well im short.. so i can do this) They are def cute. They seem like they're made pretty well too. They do have a high heel but with the hidden platform it's not too bad. I give it 4 stars because im not sure how often im gonna have to rearrange the fabric so that my knees dont look funny. Other than that- I love them.

The buckles are great because they allow you to adjust the boot for a perfect fit. These boots are not for women with large legs. If you have very tiny thighs then you will be ok. For anyone else, the shoe is too tight and rubs on your thigh. They are also very narrow, but seem to run a half a size bigger than they say.

I love the overall look of the boots, but I ordered my usual size and found no arch support. I should have ordered a size larger. Also, the zipper on my right leg snags my thigh high stockings if I don't put tape over the end! The man-made materials look and feel like real leather and are lightweight. Overall the boots make me feel sexy, which is why I bought them in the first place. My order was fulfilled very promptly, which says a lot to me. I have waited a long time for some Amazon products to be shipped lately. Overall I rate the vendor highly!

I love these boots, they are just like the ones I had in the 1970s & 1980s that my boyfriends bought me. The leather is so soft and they fit perfectly over jeans and leggings. By the time I got my pair the store had run out of my size, so i got the 1/2 size bigger ones but with heavy socks they are perfect as they aren't really lined like winter boots should be. Thank God flat heel or small heel boots are finally back! All you women with skinny legs quit complaining. You had yours, now we have ours.

I bought these boots (in black) about a month ago and have worn them quite a few times. I had been looking for the perfect knee-high boots and these are definitely them. I have gotten many compliments on these boots.

It's true that these boots are a little wide in the calves, so if you have very skinny legs, these are not the boots for you. However, unlike what some of the other reviews say, this does not make them a terrible product. These are great for women with athletic calves (like me). I know that it can be difficult sometimes to find boots that fit muscular calves, but these are it! These boots are fine for me to wear with tights, leggings, or jeans.

The leather of these boots is soft and comfortable. No, they don't look like fancy, expensive leather, but if this is your price point, this is not bad at all. They don't look cheap, they look fine. The wedge heel has been comfortable since the first time I've worn them.

I think that the people who wrote the negative reviews expected too much out of a boot that costs less than $100. These boots are great; very comfortable, very cute, very stylish. If you're looking for a pair of knee high boots for a low price, these are it!

I just got my boots in and for 50 there are PERFECT! I normally wear a 8 to 8.5 and I ordered a 8.5 and they fit perfect. They have a slouch look but stay up fine and honestly I prefer that look. They are a little PVCish but they were 50! I cannot complain.
